Financial
Aid & Scholarships
Santa Clara does not presently offer any financial aid,
however, students receiving financial aid from their home institution may be able to apply
it to Santa Clara's costs. Contact our US office if you have any questions.
Housing &
Lodging
During their stay in Spain students can live with a Spanish family
or live on campus. The determining factors are often the age and objectives of the
student. Host families are carefully selected and regularly monitored, in many respects
they can be viewed as an extension of the School's staff. For some students, living with a
family is a very effective way to learn in depth about the country, its culture and its
people. For others, living in the Center with native, as well as other international
students, may be the preferred way. The Santa Clara Center is located in a quiet
residential area with lovely surroundings. The accommodations afford students and faculty
numerous opportunities for interaction, enabling us to provide students with close,
personal attention. Whether living with a family or on campus, students are guaranteed a
way to apply the language outside the classroom and to learn the day to day living aspects
of the Spanish culture. Accommodations for summer students will be on campus.
Other Student
Services
As part of its programs, Santa Clara I.C. offers a variety of student services and
facilities designed to provide a safe and rich environment for all its students. The
school's M.D. and counseling staff are always available. Excursions take place twice a
week and include visits to museums, ancient castles, churches, palaces, and the beautiful
Costa Brava with its marvelous beaches and scenic villages. For travel and excursions, the
school furnishes its own bus transportation. Cafeteria, study areas, and indoor and
outdoor sport facilities are also provided. As part of its extended services, Santa Clara
also offers optional courses in tennis, golf, martial arts, dance, music and equitation.
Behavioral Expectations &
Younger Students
To enroll in any program, students under the age of 18 will need
permission from their parents or legal guardian. Participants are expected to be courteous
and respectful at all times and follow the School's rules of behavior.
